Graduate Recruitment
Our principal requirement is for talent, drive, enthusiasm, reliability and ambition.
Continuous learning and development
At Redington we are in search of top graduates. Our principal requirement is for talent, drive, enthusiasm, reliability and ambition. You need to be ready and willing to take on real responsibility right from the start.
Graduate recruits will find themselves working alongside senior consultants and being challenged from day one; you will be making a contribution to client solutions and have the satisfaction of seeing your work have a measurable impact on the firm.
Asset Liability Management / Investment Strategy
The Asset Liability Management (ALM) / Investment Strategy team is Redington’s market-leading delivery engine. This is reflected by our most recent awards - Specialist Investment Consultancy of the Year by Financial News (2011), Best Consulting Firm by Life & Pensions Magazine (2011), and Risk Management Firm of the Year by European Pensions (2011).
As a member of the ALM / Investment Strategy team you will be responsible for:
-
Modelling asset classes such as equities, credit, bonds, derivatives, hedge funds and other alternatives, in conjunction with modelling pension funds’ contingent liabilities.
-
Designing and implementing capital market and Liability Driven Investment (LDI) solutions to reduce risk or increase expected return.
-
Analysing the risks in pension funds under Redington’s three lenses approach: calculating the risk exposure of portfolio assets and liabilities; investigating key sensitivities to changes in interest rates, inflation, credit and longevity; and analysing the performance of assets and liabilities under various stress-tests.
-
Monitoring the markets, and keeping abreast of key developments. You will also need to develop a solid understanding of products traded in the capital markets.
-
Liaising with investment consultants to understand the needs of the client and using Redington’s proprietary analytics to deliver first class advice.
This is a highly quantitative role and candidates should have a keen interest in statistics, modelling and the ability to solve complex problems. We actively encourage applications from MSc and actuarial students, although this is by no means a prerequisite.
