iRIS
iRIS gives pension schemes an answer to the 'Where am I?' question on a rolling basis.
About iRIS
iRIS is a reporting package for pension schemes that allows them to monitor their assets and liabilities on a monthly or quarterly basis. Constant monitoring means that stakeholders can identify risks before they materialise; it helps pension schemes to determine their current position, where they need to go and points out the best path to reach the scheme's objectives.
We liken it to the concept of a SatNav, because iRIS gives pension schemes an answer to the 'Where am I?' question on a rolling basis, allowing them insight into their funding position, risk and performance.
iRIS Provides
Regular performance and risk reports summarising a scheme’s funding position.
Asset and liability performance analysis.
A thorough profile of the scheme’s overall risk, and more specifically, where those risks originate.
Clear-cut analysis detailing the scheme’s sensitivities to interest rate, inflation, credit and longevity changes.
Historical and forward-looking analysis of markets, investments and portfolios.
Education sessions explaining iRIS ALM analysis.
iRIS provides us with an overview of the risks we are running. This monthly report allows us to monitor critical components of our scheme, such as asset allocation, funding level, liquidity and collateral requirements. It’s a useful addition in the armoury of the investment committee and aids informed decision making.
